An Update from Pastor Haziel, Abundant Grace and Peace Sanctuary

Dear Sanctuary,

One of our pastors in the mountain, Lino Rugmay was expelled in the church that he handled for 23 years. A group of conservative baptist donated to him a 2 hectares property to build a tribal community and he was able to help build 23 household in that community but because he adopted our message he was expelled in his church and warned not to teach the message that he have now. These 23 families are already convince of our message they been wish us since I started the ministry in the mountain, if they will not go the church they will be facing a consequence of expulsion in the property. The other one , Eding Fontaro is force to go back to his old group Evangelical church and was warned also to change his message and go back to the old.

Peter and I suffer the same experience and it is really hard times for both of us but my heart is in grief that this people who is living in a peaceful community is being persecuted because of the gospel.

The church community is situated in Tagaskan, San Vicente, Roxas- all of this 23 families used to leaved in the higher part of the mountain but because of insurgencies, the war between the rebel and the government military they were force to relocate, so Lino Rugmay accommodated them. This time it’s not the war that causes fear but a religion who wanted them to be in bondage again in fear.

Please pray for:

  1. This group of baptist church leaders will change their mind to let this tribal group stay in that community without forcing them to go to their church.

  2. Continue to pray for Lino Rugmay and Eding Fontaro for the strength to stand in truth and not be fearful, for love casts out fear.

  3. Because of this event, the pastors warned me not to go to that particular community because the religious leadership of evangelicals are jealous of me as more members of their church are leaving their congregation. Please pray that God will continue to use our weekly radio program as most of these people are listening to it.

  4. If needed, we will be looking for relocation of these brethren to a much safer community and there will be an opening place for them.
